Museum Zdice Výtopna — Attraction in okres Beroun

From the Zdice train station it's impossible to tell this place is a 'museum' but I did see a lot of old rusted train cars and so I crossed over from the train station side to take photos, ignorant of this places status as a 'museum'.

After a few hours caretaker found me taking photos, I don't speak Czech, and managed to communicate that he wanted me to pay the tiny fee for a ticket, which I was happy to do, but because I thought I was in an old train junkyard, I only had my card. At this point this man completely lost his temper and started shouting at me, and I really felt threatened. I got my girlfriend to call him in Czech to explain the situation and that we would happily transfer the money to him, but he shouted at her over the phone instead. For no reason he was rude, and insulting. After she hung up, he shouted at me some and become more threatening and then escorted me out of the museum.

I love Czech republic and the people, this is was an exception not the rule, but this was a disgusting and unnecessary experience. To go to this museum is to support someone with no kindness,...

V bývalém depu Českých drah najdete hodně zajímavou stálou dopravní expozici z dob, kdy byly Zdice důležitým železničním uzlem na tratí Praha – Plzeň a Zdice (před vybudováním dálnice D5). Parta drážních nadšenců získala prostory do nájmu, a od roku 2005 zde můžete najít krásné kousky a opravdové unikáty staré techniky - a vůbec nejde jen o prostředky železniční dopravy. Muzejnictvi není jednoduchý obor, ale ... Pochopím, že ne každý exponát je vystavovatelný a ve stavu 1.A. Méně už Pochopím, že tam, kam mají přístup odvazlivci, kteří šlapou na shnilá prkna lávek, rezavé plechy na točně to může být zaměřený adrenalin a nebetyčná odvaha provozovatele. Propadle střechy a všudypřítomný neskutečný bordel je vizitkou velmi špatné organizace... Ale naházene plastové nepotřebné židle na starých nepojízdných vagonech, bordel v pytlích a jiný odpad, který je někomu líto vyhodit prostě do muzea podle mého názoru nepatří... Vstupné nikdo nevybiral, asi bych si ho nechal z principu vrátit.... Za mne - návštěva zde je ...
