Adršpach Rock Formations – Like Another World
Absolutely surreal place – it really feels like stepping into another world. A beautiful destination, perfect for families. Everything is incredibly clean, especially considering how many tourists visit.
The first time we went was on a weekend – and wow, it was packed! No tickets left, no parking spots. It was chaos.
I highly recommend going on a weekday morning. There are way fewer people, which makes it much easier to walk, climb the stairs, and just enjoy the experience without being rushed or bumped into. Make sure to buy your tickets (and parking) online in advance – saves you a lot of stress and ensures you can enter on time.
If you’re wondering whether it’s doable with kids – it is! We managed the entire trail with our 4-year-old. We carried them up the steeper stairs, but overall, it was totally worth it.
As for the extra boat ride – there’s not that much to see (a short trip through marshy water), but it was still worth it. The captain was hilarious – we hadn’t laughed that much in a while! And the climb up those stairs afterward made it even...
Read moreAs a family looking for a unique outdoor experience, our trip to Adršpach-Teplice Rocks in July turned out to be a perfect choice. We traveled from Wrocław by car and it was well worth the drive.
It is a surreal natural wonder, with towering sandstone formations that seem to belong to another world. The hiking trails were well-marked, making it easy for our group, which included a child, our mother, and my sister’s family, to explore. The paths vary in difficulty, but even the less experienced hikers in our group found them manageable.
What stood out the most were the breathtaking views at every turn. The kids were particularly fascinated by the shapes of the rocks, which sparked their imagination. There were plenty of rest areas where we could relax and enjoy the serene surroundings.
Overall, Adršpach-Teplice Rocks is a must-visit for anyone staying in the region. It’s a place where nature’s beauty can be enjoyed by all ages, making it a perfect family outing. We left with wonderful memories. Highly recommended for those looking to escape into...
Read moreOne of the best hiking experiences I have had so far in the Czech Republic is in this park! We really went the 'tougher' route and were literally climbing up and down some rocks with our four limbs! There are of course, routes for casual hiking and routes for those who seek a slightly more challenging adventure (we took the blue and yellow routes - we took our time with mini 'picnics' at some 'lookout points' and took about 4.5 hours). The length they went to build some of the facilities/amenities are impressive and worth every Krone of the entrance fees that we wonder how the small fees could cover the amazing maintenance they do for this very vast park. The view was amazing and so was the whole experience. The lake is definitely picturesque in the morning sun when the sun is shining at just the perfect angle. Really recommend this park to...
