Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou Castle is not as well-known as Lednice and Hluboká nad Vltavou, but it is in no way behind these two Castles. Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou Chateau is referred to as the 'Baroque noble residence' or also as the 'Moravian Versailles' or as the 'Baroque jewel of the Vysocina District'. And they certainly deserve these epithets. It is beautiful from the outside as well as inside, the interior has been preserved in its original condition. It's just a shame that until the end of 2022, the neighboring Church of St. Markets us close. Otherwise, a nice tour of the Large Chateau that is worth the longer journey. Not to mention that the Castle is only about ten km from the historic town of Třebíč. And there is also a good bus connection to the castle, and the bus station is just a few minutes' walk to the Castle. You can also get here by train, but the train station is one and a half kilometers from the Castle, which also has a large...

Read moreQuite impressive for what we expected. Very nice garden with river and ducks, small cafe, clean toilets, and generally clean city-like castle. Under renovation at the moment. Except for the coffee place (in the castle's courtyard), the main square in front of the castle is extremely poorly managed. There are no terraces or restaurants, but a large post office and few random...
