This is what I saw in November 2021: About third of the machines did not work at all or could not be enjoyed fully for various resons. Many buttons / joysticks were faulty. For example, out of 7 pinball machines, four were turned off, one was missing a flipper and one was tilted so much to one side that it was unplayable. So that leaves one usable pinball machine in the whole museum. Often the videogame screens were so dark that you couldn't see what's happening on them. Out of 4 lightgun shooters I tried, 3 were so badly calibrated that they were unplayable. Several machines were in Japanese language only, some of them very complex machines (Metal Gear Solid Arcade, some mecha simulator). And they had no Czech or English instructions attached so I had no idea how to navigate their Japanese menus and play them. There were several game consoles installed with very questionable decisions, e.g. you could play Mario Party 9 on Wii but there was only one controller attached! I had intense feeling that the owners don't care about this museum at all. I was very disappointed. This is in stark contrast with ArcadeHry.cz where the owners seem to care about their machines. (And no, I am not affiliated with them in any way)
UPDATE: In his reply below, the museum owner is straight-out lying. I don't know him and I did not know his museum before...
Read moreIf you love JP arcade and also enjoy just basking in pure nostalgia, this place is the one to go. You pay a little below 500 crowns, so not even 20 Euros to play for the entire day if you want to. Especially impressive is the fact that upstairs you can just easily enjoy a LAN of Half-Life (The WON edition mind you, I really didn't expect that!) and other classics. Important Classics are present such as House of the Dead, Virtua Cop, Lethal Justice and Sega Rally/Scud Racing. And for those digging modern JP arcade, there also were machines like Metal Gear Arcade to scratch that itch. It's a bummer that the Konami e-amusement pass or Banapass support was disabled on those machines, though, because that kind of takes away a massive part of those machines. Modern arcade machines have permanent progression that's saved on the pass and none gets saves otherwise. Unlockables and progress just reset without the pass. Other than that, an amazing venue for a great value. Food and drink places are close and toilets are not too far away either. Sadly they're not situated in the arcade somewhere, but that was just a small problem. I am looking forward to coming...
Read moreI'm from the US and we have some places like this there too. I was skeptical at first, but it was worth the trip and the price. You can do a full day option if you want and it wasn't crowded on a Monday. They have some very rare game consoles here including the Apple Pippin, Amiga CD32, Nintendo virtual boy, Nokia Ngage and many more. The only disappointment was the lack of instructions at each console, but the guy there is helpful in answering questions. It would be great if they just had a printout of some essential hotkeys to know for things like the Amiga 1200s that they have and also they really need mice for the Amigas. They might have also gone a bit overboard on the racing games though. We ended up staying about 4 hours until closing time and still didn't get to...
