This was for me the greatest experience in Prague out of 10 days vacation in the city. It was several years ago but i remember seeing few tourists there so i would say this is a gem many visitors skip while visiting this highly touristic city. I learned about this beautiful place through the website Kids in Prague http://www.kidsinprague.com/post/prokopske-and-dalejske-valley-and-playgrounds-prague-5-13/ written by an expat woman and mother who documented her family’s experience living in the city. It is a great source of information for planning a visit to the city with kids but also without. There are many ways to access the valley. We started at Geologická tram stop. From there you walk down through a peaceful neighborhood to the valley. At some point you will see an awesome old viaduct bridge, Pražský Semmering. At this point you start walking west in the valley enjoying nature, lovely playgrounds and even a little petting farm. Do take food and drinks with you as you will see perfect spots for picnic there. There are several exit points so you can choose where to leave according to your time and energy. We left at Klukovice where you immediately come across Pivovar Prokopák, a lovely local restaurant and bar where you can have a good burger or drink or both. When we visited they hosted a wedding so it was interesting to watch an authentic local scene. After relaxing you can take a bus back to...

After you get off from the bus stop, just go up through a gate, and that is the starting point of the trail. You can follow the main paved road, which is a round loop of a park.

Along the way, there are some benches and children playgrounds.

Just not far from the entrance point, there is a small split on the right which leads to the first attraction, a small valley and a lake.

If you are going to the devin Hill,It might take you a few hours with a normal walking pace.

The path becomes muddy after rain.To the end of the trail, you will see the top view over the city.

It is better to download an offline map, there is no connection on the way.And there are different trails, green, yellow, and red. You might get lost if you are the...

One of my absolute favorite places in Prague. It’s surprisingly big, and once you're inside, it feels like you've escaped the city completely. I’ve gone here for walks, hikes, runs, and even celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday with a barbecue and picnic — it’s perfect for that. The rock formations are stunning, and there are several good restaurants nearby if you want to grab something after. Also great for biking. It’s close to the metro (line B), just about 15 minutes on foot. A hidden gem of nature in Prague!

One of the few green untouched places at Prague. Valley hidden in between two Prague parts is convenient place for family walk. You will be surprised by it's refreshing atmosphere, but some places like main road could be bit crowdy especially during the weekends. I suggest to take walk back by the path on North valley bank. The views are amazing and you will not meet many people there. P.S: Does anyone recognize bird on pictures? ;-)
