Pivovar Prokopák is an inn and brewery located in a small valley to the west of river Vltava. Google suggested many various options for public transport, but I skipped local train, took metro from Mùstek to Smichov and tramvaj to Poliklinika Barrandov. From there, about a thousand meters downhill to Prokopák

It's worth the trip. Lovely sauce for a perfect steak, and the beer cold and fresh. I started with a desitka (10⁰), light golden yellow with a dense head, aroma and taste with notes of lemon balm and light bread malt. Jedenactka (11⁰) was similar to the first, but with more malts.

Nice service. They mostly speak Czech here, but when you're both thirsty and hungry, it's easy. Then you try Czech. Steak is steak. Pivo is beer. I knew desitka, jedenactka, dvanactka from my many visits to the Czech Republic. Tmavé pivo is dark beer. Prosím is please. Djěkuji is thank you. Velmi dobre...

Microbrewery set in the middle of the Prokopske Udoli national park.

There is a nice outdoor seating area. The tables in the centre have table service while those around the outside are for drinking beers purchased at the kiosk. Inside is smaller, but warm and welcoming.

The beers are excellent with a range of both ales and lagers. Food is also reasonably good, if not exceptional, with a range of traditional Czech dishes and international staples like burgers and ribs. Prices are reasonable, although a little more expensive than your average hospoda.

Service can be a bit inconsistent. Have visited a number of times and while it has been excellent on some occasions, it has been rather poor on others.

All in all it is a great place to stop for a couple of beers or a bite to eat when walking in the...

If you have a way to drive here and you either have someone to push you up the somewhat steep ramp (or you have an electric scooter) to enter the patio, it is wheelchair accessible-- there's a shallow ramp from the outdoor seating area into the restaurant, and there's a wheelchair accessible bathroom.

The beer and food here is amazing! I had the roast duck with sauerkraut and potato dumplings. The sauerkraut was really sour and it had cubed ham in it. There was also a good amount of sauce for the dumplings. I had the Svatá Barbora beer which was light and crisp with a hint of sourness. It was perfect...

Nicely hidden gem of Prokopské valley near Klukovice district. You get here by walk through the park. After that you deserve to get a very nice beer of own making. Usually there are 5+ beers on the tap. For lager enthusiasts I recommend to start with 10° beer and build you way up. You must try local cuisine. Typical Czech meals and very tasty. Prices are adequate for this location. Don't bother by driving, public transport is quite near and you won't finish with only one beer.

Tucked away in the scenic Prokopské Valley, this is a fantastic spot to unwind after a walk, a hike or a bike ride. The brewery has a laid-back, rustic atmosphere offering the perfect setting for a break. Make sure to try their beers which go down easily after a long trek. For food, they serve hearty, flavorful Czech dishes like sausages and other meaty staples, ideal for recharging. It’s well worth planning your route to include this rewarding stop.
