Rozhledna DOUBRAVKA XIV — Attraction in Prague

Very unique look-out tower situated in Prague district 14 - Černý most. Acces is for free and it is open whole year. Way is possible from many ways, but if you are going with public transport, is the best to go with subway (yellow line) to station "Rajská zahrada" (paradise garden). From there it is around 1,7km walk, or you can go even closer with a bus. In moment you feel as in a different worls. Nature park "Čihadla", where is "Doubravka" situated, is giving enough space for trees, bush, animals and newly for this amazing look-out tower. So few minutes from city centre and in wildness! Visit of the tower is from the bottom bit scary, but upstairs it is absolutely beautiful and safe. The construction is holding the staircase on the top, o downstairs you have a feeling of moving all tower, but no worries!!! Definitely...

Rozhledna Doubravka XIV.

Dominanta Prahy 14 vyrostla v lesoparku Čihadla na Černém Mostě.

K jejímu vrcholu s podestou ve výšce 20 metrů vede 98 schodů.

Autorem rozhledny je Prof. Ing. arch. Martin Rajniš a jeho tým z Huti architektury.

Nejen, že vyhlídkovou věž pojmenovali, vtiskli jí také podobu výrazné originální konstrukce, které dominují tři masivní nohy.

Výstavba probíhala od června 2017 do června 2018.

Rozhledna Doubravka vznikla z iniciativy městské části Praha 14, která je i vlastníkem stavby.

Příprava projektu trvala čtyři roky.

Na břehu Kyjského rybníka byl nejprve v roce 2014 vztyčen dvanáctimetrový prototyp oblouku budoucí rozhledny – Artefakt Kyje –, který byl po tři roky předmětem pozorování a měření spojů a ohybu materiálu.

Realizace skutečné rozhledny na blízkém kopci Horka poté trvala celý rok.

Základním konstrukčním materiálem je přes 7 km kmínků akátu včetně odpadu.

Bylo na ni použito celkem 5162 kg oceli, 3000 svorníků, 6000 matic a zhruba 1000 kmínků trvanlivého a snadno obnovitelného akátového dřeva, které vyrostlo na Moravě v okolí Bzence.

Stavěly ji čtyři jeřáby.

V roce 2018 v 25. ročníku soutěže Grand Prix architektů (s podtitulem Národní cena za architekturu), pořádané Obcí architektů udělila porota stavbě jednu z pěti hlavních cen.

V roce 2018 byla stavba nominována na cenu Miese van der Rohe, do užšího výběru se však nedostala.

Dne 20. listopadu 2019 byla rozhledna poškozena požárem.

Technická závada byla vyloučena, probíhalo vyšetřování, zda šlo o úmysl, či nedbalost.

Škoda byla odhadnuta na půl milionu až milion korun a oprava měla trvat asi čtyři měsíce.

Rozhlednu se ovšem podařilo zpřístupnit přesně měsíc od požáru, tedy 20....

Very nice lookout tower with an imaginative look. The lookout tower is located in a more remote part of Prague, which is perhaps why there are no lines of tourists here. In fact, there is hardly anyone here, so you can enjoy the surroundings of the lookout tower and the view undisturbed. The structure of the lookout moves a bit, so it's not exactly built for people with weaker stomachs. The lookout tower can be reached by car, or you can also leave your car in the parking lot below the hill and walk a few minutes through the forest up to the lookout...
