Botanical Gardens — Attraction in Gombe

The Kinshasa Botanical Garden, established in 1933 and formerly known as Fernand De Boeck Park, spans seven hectares in the Gombe district of Kinshasa. Home to approximately 286 plant species, including baobabs, mango trees, and coffee plants, it serves as a vital green space in the city.  

Visitors appreciate its tranquil environment and the knowledge of its agronomists, who can identify various trees and their uses. However, some areas require maintenance, reflecting limited funding. Despite this, the garden’s potential as a peaceful retreat remains evident.
