Limoncello Italian Restaurant in Drc — Restaurant in Gombe

The restaurant is very beautiful. The manager is really bossy, almost rude. I am allergic to cheese, unfortunately... I asked her if she could make a pizza without mozzarella (which is fine at other restaurants here in Kinshasa like at Casa Mia or O Poeta). She first replied it wasn't possible... And after seeing that I wasn't happy (since I was there for my birthday), she said that they could make it but that it would be tasteless and "she would personally overview that I finished it all". Seriously? Can she say that? Who is she to say that? Is she my mother? I didn't dare to order a pizza! I ordered pasta with mushrooms. It was too oily, far too oily! I ate only a third. And there was a funny bit too: I am not only allergic to cheese, I don't like the smell. The waiter place Parmesan just beside my plate. I couldn't eat anymore. I placed it further away. When the waiter came back, he noticed it... And he put it back just ride beside my plate! When he left, I placed it again as far away as the size of the table would allow. Disappointed! The worst service ever experienced in the restaurant in Kinshasa. We ordered steak but the waiter didn’t know which knife to serve, finally manager intervened to give appropriate knife. Before serving the dessert we requested to clean the table but waiter denied and then ignored.

Limoncello used to be 1 of the good restaurant in kinshasa but with time the service and food has been changed.

Clean place and really tasty Italian food at a good price. This nice picture is however marred by the poor service. I have been there 4 times in 2 months with different groups but always served by waiters who were either rude or indifferent. I would have given 5-stars otherwise. Food and venue are not everything in a restaurant. I would rather go to a place where one feels welcome and not just at...
