Nice kid-friendly beach. Use one of the two jetties to get to water with a clean sandy bottom. Good swimming between the two jetties and a floating platform about 50-70m from the jetty. Given the sheltered location, there are never big waves, and in sunny weather the water gets relatively warm quite quickly. Good facilities (bathroom, cafe, ice cream, playground, accommodation) in the Vigen camping right next to the beach. Nice walk to Veddelev harbour with views over the Roskilde fjord with its bird reserves, and dominated by the Roskilde cathedral.

Der Strandpark liegt am Rande, fast schon gegenüber von Roskilde. Man hat ein schönes Panorama von Roskilde. Wie der Name schon sagt, ein Park am Strand. Ideal zum Erholen auf der Wiese, unter Bäumen und/oder am Strand. Wer empfindlich an den Füßen ist, dem empfehlen wir aufgrund des Kiesstrandes Badeschuhe.

For en med en 1 årig dreng var den virkelige ikke fed. Der var ingen sand til at lege med.. det gjorde ondt at gå på stenene og forfærdeligt at ligge på dem. Der kan man dog ligge på et græs stykke men ingen lege plads. Men ja det jo fint til at gå en tur eller hvis man måske er ældre.

Hvis du leder efter en dejlig strand i nærheden af Roskilde, så er Vigen Strandpark virkelig et besøg værd. Den ligger smukt ud til Roskilde Fjord mellem Veddelev og Roskilde. Bag stranden ligger en stor, grøn strandeng, hvor du kan nyde en picnic eller bare slappe af med udsigt til fjorden. Og skulle du få brug for det, er der toiletter lige ved campingpladsen bag stranden. Det hele er bare super praktisk. Der er også en rampe ned til stranden, så det er let at komme til, uanset om du har barnevogn, kørestol eller bare ikke er så godt gående.

Det tager kun 15 minutter at cykle hertil fra Roskilde centrum langs fjorden – virkelig en smuk tur! Hvis du kører i bil, er der parkering tæt på. Alt i alt er Vigen Strandpark et skønt sted til en afslappende...
