Amber Cove is a place dedicated to tourists and caters to little else. There are shops, swimming pools, local history and a few other amusement assets. The slide line is pretty lame and is only perhaps 150 meters in length. It is a great place to visit, especially if one is looking for a quiet location. Me, I'm more into history & "what happened here" sort of thing but I did have a good time while here

We have always had a great time in amber cove. This most recent time on the carnival Mardi gras we rented an over the water cabana, and it was so worth it! Included are snacks, sodas, an hour of water sport rental, a super helpful concierge, and bar and restaurant service (bar and restaurant service costs extra but they will bring it to your cabana).
