Playa Colorada — Attraction in Samana

Beautiful sandy beach although swimming only for good swimmers or when the sea is calm. There are no facilities of any kind and no life guard available. This is one of my favorite beaches. It's secluded, the sand is thick and golden. You will most likely be the only one on the beach and it's a fun hike to get there if your willing to walk. Raggiungibile in automobile da Las Galeras per una strada sterrata ma praticabile. Occorre parcheggiare 500 metri prima e proseguire a piedi per un viale alberato. Entrambe le spiagge (colorado 1 e 2) sono tipicamente tropicali con sabbia bianca molto fina, palme di cocco e fitta vegetazione. Il mare è di acqua cristallina e leggermente agitato con una discreta corrente, ma non ci sono né alghe né rocce e chiunque sappia nuotare discretamente può bagnarsi.
