Playa Juan Dolio — Attraction in San Pedro de Macorís

The beach is free. Awesome place to go if in the Santo Domingo area. The locals will harass you to have them watch your car for 100 Dominican pesos, even though you park in the streets. You may rent chairs and table for 350 pesos and a long chair you can lay on for 100 pesos. So if you go with your own food it may cost you 600 Dominican pesos. We were disapointed how dirty the beach actually is. It was very busy on the weekends and it seems many locals leave garbage and plastics even glass bottles behind. It makes us so sad to see how people treat the enviroment and this very beautiful piece. We encourage the city to follow-up on this matter. Very beautiful clean beach not crowded at all and get a table as long as you purchase something.
