Cayambe Central Park — Attraction in Cayambe

Mid-sized town located about 70 km from Quito, it would take you about 1h30 to get here. The town is known for its indigenous traditions, among them their food: bizcochos, cheese, yogurt and Tortillas. The town celebrates the summer solstice with a big event, it coincides with the Saint Peter's celebration. A must see is the central square and cathedral church. Ideal place if you want to spend a weekend in the rural area but fortunately you'll be able to have access to restaurants, supermarkets and multiple stores...

Cayambe es uno de los pueblos más importantes del Ecuador por tener en su territorio el imponente volcán que lleva el mismo nombre. Pese que no hay muchos atractivos turísticos dentro de la ciudad, igual hay parques, plazas, iglesias y restaurantes para disfrutar.

Que tu motivación no sea lo mucho por ver, sino el hecho de estar recorriendo las calles de lugares que un día formaron...

CICLOVIA en muy buen estado, se puede circular sin inconvenientes, hay pendientes pero no fuertes, recomiendo el paseo con niños pequeños y con coches de bebé, SI respetan al peatón y a los ciclopaseantes. El fin de semana se encuentran locales de alimentos abiertos y a precios económicos. Se evita aglomeraciones y se puede recorrer...
