We walked from town which took about 45min-1hour along an easy, fairly quiet road. Go in the morning as the butterflies are asleep in the afternoon. $7 entry fee, and they give you a short talk (in Spanish, but fairly easily understood) on the life cycle of a butterfly, then you can spend as long as you like in the butterfly house. The main butterfly garden is very nice as expected, but the shelf of chrysalis is really amazing. I could observe even a metamorphosis. The entrance is 6$, but the transportation by taxi costs 5$ for each way. The way to the waterfall has more slope but 7$, so if you want to save your money, my recommendation is to go here and back by foot and take a taxi to the waterfall entrance and walk...
