Monday to Sunday, 8am to 5pm. Birdwatching, hiking, camping, pet friendly. $2.50 taxi to or from the town centre (we had phone reception to call a return taxi), $4 entry, bottles of sugar cane juice sold here for $1 (frozen, will quickly defrost). Toilets and trash cans at entry. Trash cans and changing rooms at first bridge and waterfall (very close to entry). Trash cans, toilet and changing rooms at second waterfall. There's a restaurant just across the road from the entry and they have desayunos, almuerzos and meriendas. At the second bridge the river is absolutely full of tiny fish, along with lots of little frogs on the river bank. At the second waterfall the river is absolutely full of medium size fish. We saw three fish species, at least ten bird species, and a big beautiful lizard with a blue tail. The fish are friendly too! If you want to take your time, observe the birds and fish, picnic and swim, well we spent about 5 hours here doing just that. The path passes through jungle and treed corridors through sections of farmland with tall trees around. The water is obviously clean enough for so many fish, and the...

Loved this place. It is definitely a bit of a yomp to get to the waterfall but plenty to look at along the way. You need to be careful though the ground is really slippery in places. My husband fell down twice. We went on a weekday and were the only people there. It was a couple of dollars each to walk down. There was a loo, a shower and you could change there. We gave an extra couple of dollars for someone to watch our vehicle. When we got back to the car we bought some extremely dubious second hand bottles of frozen honemade sugar cane syrup drink. We bought some and didn't get sick just...
