I was very impressed! The animals are all either on loan from educational institutes or rescues from trafficking or abusive ownership. The animals have spacious enclosures (more than many zoos in major U.S. cities), and all appear to be in good health. They have plenty of food, none of the birds were missing feathers due to plucking, and the enclosures were quite clean. It is obvious the animals are cared for very well! The staff were helpful and friendly, I definitely will visit again.

The guides Fabricio and Juan were extremely helpful and kind. They also have a quaint Artisan row, that is actually much larger on Saturdays, that sell local handicrafts and art. I think it’s great to help take care of the animals and the garden. However, most of the area was under construction or remodeling. We paid and got to see less than when the place we free.
