1$ entry. This is a small archaeological site run by the community. It is amazing to see how close the Inca's were to the actual GPS ecuator line. The guides were very friendly and enthusiastic to share their knowledge. It is open during the week as well but guides are only there for holidays and weekends. Read moreThe location of the ruins demonstrate its strategic importance in protecting Quito from the north. The fort was on the high point that provided a clear view of the approach to Quito from the north with the eastern flank being a very deep steep canyon.
