1$ entry. This is a small archaeological site run by the community. It is amazing to see how close the Inca's were to the actual GPS ecuator line. The guides were very friendly and enthusiastic to share their knowledge. It is open during the week as well but guides are only there for holidays and weekends. Could do with better signage on the actual ruins 'oval possibly for rituals' is a good example, but was a very good experience for us.

The location of the ruins demonstrate its strategic importance in protecting Quito from the north. The fort was on the high point that provided a clear view of the approach to Quito from the north with the eastern flank being a very deep steep canyon. An interesting stop if you like to tour ruins. Informative placards are in Spanish and English

If you’re already nearby there’s no harm in stopping. It only cost $1. Probably would have been better with a tour guide. Got some pretty cool pictures and down the road you may find a lot of dogs

Es un lugar donde se puede conocer vestigios de una construcción con fines militares del pueblo inca, existe una pequeña exhibición de restos arqueológicos y explicación de bienvenida, ya en las ruinas los senderos de circulación no están bien delimitados, se podría mejorar el recorrido, hay parqueadero, se ofrece comida y artesanías en el exterior y está disponible un sshh. El costo de entrada a febrero de 2021 es de $1 adultos y $0,50 niños

Si bien, el complejo arqueológico Rumicucho no se trata de estructuras monumentales ni (lamentablemente) bien conservadas, no cabe duda que la visita ($1 por persona) está más que justificada para poder entender un poquito más acerca de la historia de los antiguos pobladores de la zona y de la historia de la expansión inca; además de disfrutar de una vista espectacular de la topografía circundante (cerros de la Marca y valle de guayllabamba).

La verdad, es un lugar que toca visitar si o si. Se siente lo ancestral en el ambiente, ver todas las rocas ordenadas y solo pensar que lo hicieron los indígenas que habitaron estas tierras hace muchos años es mágico, además la vista que ofrece, la tranquilidad... es espectacular. El lugar merece 5 estrellas. Elimino una pues estaba cerrado aunque encontramos un camino por detrás y logramos disfrutar más tranquilos jajaja

Rumicucho is a pucara located 23 kilometres in a straight-line distance north of the city of Quito at an elevation of 2,401 metres.
