This place was special and worth going off the beaten path for. My cousin took me with my aunt and my uncle. You take a 30 minute winding road up the mountain to get to the mirador. The place looks unassuming at first but when you go inside, the view opens up. I was immediately impressed by the view of el Lago de Ilopango. You have an unobstructed view of the lake and of some of the mountains that drape San Salvador. We went for the view but stayed for the food. I was definitely happy with the food; I ordered a churrasco and the meat was delicious. One thing to note is that they don’t serve alcohol. As a beer drinker, that one stung a bit. I think they do it purposely to avoid a particular crowd and to ensure as much traffic as possible. Seating is limited. They are building a new area where one can host private events and have an even better view. I do like the COVID measures they are taking but not a fan of all the plastic and recyclable plastics they are using. I saw so much garbage being accumulated while I was there. Overall, this is a must visit spot and I am looking forward to going back. Well done 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽.

Do not waste your time coming here unless you have 4 wheel drive. It’s not necessary just to get to the camping area like one review says but to enjoy anything nice in the park unless you consider hiking up and down a road for cars fun. We cashier says we could walk around but when turned around after 10 mins as it was just driveway down with no hiking...
