Playa El Cuco — Attraction in Departamento de San Miguel

Small village. Public beach very busy. Restaurants limited and I'm not fussy happy to eat typical local but some of the places were not at all appetising to look at or eat in. I ended up at a resort place and they are certainly not my go to places. Maybe I didn't see its best side but I wouldn't say it was worth visiting unless you are a resort person staying at pool with private beach access. The 3 stars is not because there was anything wrong with the beach but because I'm originally from Hawaii so I always compare beaches with those in Hawaii. But if you want to get away from the country/city life of El Salvador, this is a nice place to go. It's a black sand beach with a lot of restaurants along the shoreline.
