I was absolutely captivated during my visit a couple years ago to the magnificent Rock of Tondi. Despite the initial long queue, stretching for approximately two hours, the anticipation only heightened my excitement. The weather, with its cloudy and cold demeanor, seemed insignificant the moment my fingertips made contact with the surface of this extraordinary rock. A profound connection occurred as if my very electrons intertwined with the essence of the rock, permeating my being with a comforting warmth. In that instant, a profound sense of contentment enveloped me, leaving me with an indescribable satisfaction.

Determined to enhance my experience further, I meticulously planned my return visit for a Monday morning, eager to savor every moment. This time, the wait was significantly reduced to a mere 30 minutes, which only added to the magic. It was an unparalleled experience, an extraordinary testament to the power of the Rock of Tondi. Where do I even begin to describe the beauty of this rock. A must see in Estonia!!!

The shape and size of the rock is magnificent and brings a tear to the eye.

Located proudly in the heart of the local suburb, welcoming guests to the areazl, eventually a train station was commissioned to deal with the traveling tourists from over the whole Soviet Union who wanted to see the rock.

The front triangular side represents the 3 bands of the Estonian flag

The back side of the stone is decorated with graffiti from the renowned local street artisy SoS and the 2 black tear drops were a recent addition representing the sad past of the city.

Honestly I could go on for days, I wish there was more information and a plaque around the sculpture but perhaps soon.

The only downside was the 45 minute queue to have a picture with the stone but I loved my souvenir "Telfie"
