Klorofüll embodies hospitality in every sense of the word. In an age where downloading menus, food delivery and short lunch breaks are front of mind when thinking about where to eat, it was extremely refreshing and special to dine here. Like going to a friend’s place, you can look forward to meaningful conversation, a welcoming environment and relaxing about what to choose or wondering if you have ordered the right thing. Let Nevil guide you through the current menu and trust you’re about to enjoy a high quality and delicious meal.
Thoroughly enjoyed the passion for seasonal produce and energy to regularly take local ingredients and let them shine or transform them in new and unexpected ways. Eating here was a warm reminder that our food usually has a long journey before it reaches our plates and the effort and attention to detail was evident with every bite.
Today’s offering was fresh, herbaceous and so flavourful. I am already looking forward to making the most of their rotating menu and exploring what’s on offer during my next visit to Tallinn. Make sure you have enough room to enjoy all the courses (and beverages) on offer, It would be criminal not to considering the VERY reasonable pricing. Take a chance on a dish with unfamiliar ingredients if you see one. I left selection in Nevil’s capable hands and was very pleased and grateful to learn and try something you won’t find elsewhere.
Highly recommend, I was too busy enjoying the food so here’s a photo of the...
Read moreI really enjoyed the whole experience, where the chef talks to you about the ingredients and the food. The dishes are simple, but use local, mostly seasonal ingredients and the pairing of ingredients was unique and exciting. The server and chef are really friendly, and you can tell that they’re passionate about creating good food. As a vegan person, I really hope that the restaurant thrives.
My 4 stars are mainly because the waiting time is reaaallly very long. We got served the appetiser only 1 hour and 20 mins or so. Another thing is that once I shared a review on instagram, all good things except the time, the restaurant owner came at me, accusing me for writing a bad review on google mistaking me for my partner who gave a 3 star review and saying things like ‘If you read the previous reviews on Google, you’d Understand that, you haven’t understood what we do. We do things that don’t exist in this country’. Firstly, I don’t write a bad review and even if I did I think that’s rude, condescending and uncalled for. If someone wrote a bad review, the restaurant owner shouldn’t be lashing out like...
Read moreKlorofüll is located on the second floor of a building, a 10 min. tram ride south from Old Town Tallinn, that caters for exceptional Estonian based artists. And likewise Klorofüll is truly exceptional when it comes to the art of cuisine. The chef is very well educated and even trained in France and Switzerland for a number of years before arriving in Tallinn relatively recently. The menu changes every day. The food ingredients are all fresh, sourced locally and prepared from first principles. The blending of tastes is perfect. To experience it all one has to have the full menu as we did. From starters to dessert, it was delicious. For starters we had a Vegetable Soup and a Tomato Salad dish. For mains, a Thai Curry with Noodles. For dessert, an Apple and Cinnamon. Kombucha too. An understated canteen environment with all the emphasis being on the food. Highly recommended. Very affordable. Excellent service. The best vegan culinary experience to be had in Tallinn for sure.
