Nice place for swimming and sauna. I only went to swim and refresh as I enjoy plunging in cold water. The beach area was tidy. There's a changing booth for changing your clothes before and after swimming. A shower for rinsing, but with cold water only. The water felt clean enough. CAUTION ⚠️ The beach gets deep very fast with a big drop just about 2m or less from the shore. Be cautions, especially for children this might NOT be the best beach to enjoy. However if not swimming, there are play grounds and space for activities. When I visited it was very empty as it was past summer break and getting a bit cold. I believe during summer break can be very crowded. SAUNA 🧖🏽‍♀️ It needs to be prebooked. I think it's a seasonal pass sauna entry. Someone there explained that usually people buy let's say 3 or 6 months of entry to use the sauna during that period. They get a code to enter.

Nice public beach (and the closest to my place), but can be full if the weather is warm and the sun is shining. Life guards and ice cream kiosk during vacation time (2021: June 7 - Aug 13). Some cyanobacteria content, but still possible to swim if you don't swallow too much. Beach volleyball field, basket ball field. Ice hole swimming during winter time, but sauna use requires club membership.

NOT SAFE FOR SMALL CHILDREN, the water is quickly deep just after a meter or few. By the pier stairs the depth is 3.5 meters. The water quality is ok as long as you DO NOT DRINK OR SWALLOW ANY OF THE WATER. but still really nice, only problem is that the pot-a-potty (wc) is rarely emptied so be aware to go somewhere else to use bathroon

Beautiful place for accessible bathing. It has wheelchair accessible hot showers. There is a small step at the entrance to the changing area that could be solved with a small board. There is also another one at the entrance to the showers. Neither of the two lifeguards helped me in and out of the water despite my repeated requests. Then I asked them and they told me that they considered it part of their job but that sometimes there are too many people and they can't help. There was no one else but us, they just didn't want to get wet and initially they didn't even have their swimsuits on. The lifeguards should be more proactive and not wait for me to fall in to help or else the city can save the money for their not moving job. A constructive option is for them to receive training on how to assist disabled people (functionally diverse) and to learn about Kalle Könkkölä, an iconic Finnish figure who fought for our...

It is a nice beach. Munkkiniemi Beach is a popular sandy beach. It offers a picturesque setting along the shores of the Baltic Sea, with facilities for swimming, sunbathing, and beach sports. The beach is known for its clean waters and family-friendly atmosphere, making it a favorite destination for locals during the summer months especially. It also features amenities such as changing rooms, toilets, and a nearby café, enhancing the overall beach experience. Munkkiniemi Beach is easily accessible and a cherished spot for enjoying Helsinki's...
