If you wish to see the beauty of Kuopio, this is the best place. You can also enjoy a free ride in ski lift to reach the tower. Or else, you can directly drive to the top. Right below the tower, there is a souvenir shop and from there you can buy the ticket for the tower. (8€ per adult - June 2023) There is a cafe restaurant on the top of tower and inside you can sit and enjoy your food or drinks while enjoying the scenic view of Kuopio. If you take stairs to one more floor upper, then you can see it from the roof top floor which is outside viewpoint with better view. At the bottom of the tower, there is a restaurant and a summer kioski where you can enjoy some snacks/foods. Highly recommended to visit if you are visiting Kuopio.

Totally recommend when visiting Kuopio. This Restaurant totally deserved the Place on my List for the Best Restaurants around the World 👍🏽 Puijon Tower. I walked 1.8km Trail up to the Restaurant through the Forest, which was amazing. At the destination I just entered the Tower and took the Elevator to the 2 Second Floor to the Restaurant. I recommend reserving a Table, even if you’re alone. I got a bit of cloudy weather but that didn’t change the Fact that view and the food were amazing. I have orders the Main Meet Dish with, Mushrooms, Baked Potato’s, Medium Rare Meat, a Mushroom Paste and some Green 😂. The food was made in a good time, so I didn’t need to wait to long and I could enjoy it to jazz music and good View.

Vihdoin saatiin aikaiseksi käydä Puijon kuuluisassa tornissa ja sen legendaarisessa pyörivässä ravintolassa. Odotukset olivat korkealla ja fiilis jännittynyt – varsinkin kun itse en ole hissien suurin ystävä. Mutta yli 4000 porrasta ei hienoissa vaatteissa houkutellut sekään, joten hammasta purren, silmät kiinni ja puolison kädestä puristaen nousin hissiin 🙈 Onneksi matka ylös sujui nopeasti ja stressi suli pois heti maisemia ihaillessa. Olimme paikalla hieman etuajassa, joten ehdimme poiketa näköalatasanteella ihastelemassa upeita näkymiä yli Kuopion ja Kallaveden – aivan mielettömät maisemat! 👌🏻 Sitten olikin aika siirtyä ravintolan puolelle, jossa meidät toivotettiin lämpimästi tervetulleiksi ja ohjattiin pöytään. Jo menua selaillessa huomasi, kuinka lattia pyöri hitaasti ja maisema lipui taustalla – se oli rauhallista, kiehtovaa ja täysin ainutlaatuista. Ruoka oli erinomaista: kauniisti aseteltua, herkullista ja selvästi ajatuksella valmistettua. Palvelu oli ystävällistä, asiantuntevaa ja ripeää – kokonaisuudesta jäi todella hyvä mieli. Jos etsit jotain erityistä ravintolakokemusta, tätä kannattaa ehdottomasti kokeilla. Suosittelemme varaamaan pöydän etukäteen, mutta hyvällä tuurilla voi löytyä tilaa myös ilman varausta. Kiitos Puijon Torni – tänne tullaan vielä uudestaan, se on varma! 👍🏻

The tower and the views are amazing but please DO NOT waste your money on their lousy restaurant. Sadly, the food is a tourist trap, charging over 30€ for a frozen-taste, dry salmon... the worse I've eaten so far, ever. The beef is just as tasteless and as expensive as the salmon. Make your money and experience worth it visiting Kummisetä for an amazing stake. Even the plates are "good looking", the quality of Puijo's dishes is just the same as gas station food. Food quality aside, service is very poor and im our case, a young unexperienced waiter was unwelcoming and rude. Only good things are the views as I mentioned and the "Puijo" and...
