I would like to give a honest review if possible pleases...

Booked for me and my children (7,12) They was really excited for the tobogganing. Unfortunately they didn't enjoy it due to the amount of snow flying in to there faces. (We wasn't informed of this)

So, I explained to my children it's OK I'll rent some ski goggles. Unfortunately they don't rent out and I wasn't going to spend over €150 on 3 pairs in the shop.

So really €118 was wasted due to the fact the member of staff didn't advise us on goggles and my children only went down once...

My children was upset as they really wanted to continue doing the tobogganing but physically they couldn't due to the huge amount of cross wind and snow flying up in to there faces.

(Ski goggles would of solved the problem)

Saariselkä Ski & Sport Resort please look in to this as it's a great venue and ruined by something so...

From a winter activity and location point of view it's 5 stars, you are next to the start of all of the ski runs and Europe's longest toboggan run! The hotel, as a hotel, for me was poor for the exclusive prices charged. Biggest bug bears were; Food - tepid to warm at best of times, never hot. Even drinks were Luke warm never hot. Choice was dire to be frank and same thing every day! 80Euro for a big standard rose wine! Chalets - are compact and bijoux! The mezzanine floor beds were some of the worst I have slept in. We had to pay to rent a kettle but was glad we did, it was the only way to get a hot drink! Bathroom was well equipped and best room in the chalet. I'm 2m tall and kept banging my head on the pendant light in the lounge area, and be very careful getting out of bed on the mezzanine!

So sorry to say, but as an exclusive hotel for me it...

Had the best time here at the Saariselka resort. The staff were always helpful and informative, especially when it came to instructions on what to expect with attractions such as the toboggan run and using the chairlifts/T-Bar Lifts.

I started as a complete novice but I felt like I left a lot better standard because of all the help I received.

The restaurant is great with lots of food and drinks on offer.

The -30° weather did mean some of the slopes had to close but the staff behind the counters always warned us before we booked anything and they always made sure there was something to do, like keeping the ropelift and T Bar Lifts (when it was safe to do so) operating.

Would positively...

Genuinely a lovely place to ski. The views on the mountains were beautiful, and the slopes and ski lifts were very well maintained. Had a lot of fun skiing here and really wished I had more time or have the opportunity to visit again. Prices for ski pass and rentals are decent and reasonable too! From the ticketing office to the slopes, the staff were really cheerful, friendly and helpful, making our ski day super enjoyable. Kudos to the team! Special shoutout to the young male staff manning slope 6 (apologies I didn’t get your name) - he really put in a lot of effort to ensure we are all safely up the Tbar and was happy to make small talks while we heading up.
