Kauan olen Rovaniemellä kulkenut mutta kertaakaan en Rovaniemen kotiseutumuseolle. Pihapiiri on laaja ja nähtävää riittää. Sateisella säällä ruohikossa kävellessä sukat kastuivat, mutta siitä ei ollut murheeksi asti. Tottuneena museokävijänä esineiden historia oli tutumpaa joten hakeuduin enemmän talon ja suvun historian pariin. Silloin tällöin harmitti kun tekstitaulut sattuivat olemaan esineiden takana, jolloin huononäköisemmän piti kumarrellen kurotella lähemmäksi tauluja.
