Punkaharju Summerland — Attraction in Savonlinna sub-region

We had a great day in Kesämaa with our 4 year old kid. The day was very warm and sunny. Not that many people were there so you never needed to spend time waiting your turn. This was very positive thing! We considered 25€ tickets cheap as you can spend the whole day there. Area is old and somewhat worn, but everything works well and you can really enjoy and play safely. There is a good balance of water and dry activities. When the day is cooler, you can warm up in the sauna and then have a couple of water slides repeatedly. Shallow pools are also perfect for children to play around. Kesämaa restaurant was located in the middle of everything and offered very good basic burger meals for 14€. There were a couple of other grill food options, but we didnt try those. I recommend to take some own dry snacks with you so you can all the time keep up the energy levels.

I really recommend Kesämaa to all families with kids up to 7 years. Older kids might better enjoy the Treetop Adventure starting right from the same parking lot. Not sure if the same ticket is...

Lapset pitivät puistosta todella paljon. Sopivan rauhallinen päivä oli meille, lämmin sää ja vähemmän porukkaa. Minnekään ei ollut jonoa tai ruuhkaa. Kiipeily telineet keskellä olivat aika huonossa kunnossa ja tämä ratojen reitti oli välillä hiukan epälooginen. Parit parrut tuntuivat olevan melkein lahoja ja käpyjä piti väistellä avojaloin lapsen perässä kävellessä. Lapset ei tietenkään tätä huomanneet ja heillä riitti hauskaa. Zipline:ssä tässä samassa telineessä oli aika hankalaa päästä pois toisessa päässä. Oli ehkä hiukan liian vaikea 6v tytölle, eipä sillä että muutkaan siinä ois päässeet kuivin jaloin ylitse. Sopivasti oli tekemistä 2v ja 6v lapsille. Hyvin on otettu eri ikäluokat huomioon. Kyllä lapsilla on hauskaa. Ruokaa lämmitimme grillissä ja tästä iso boonus, ettei tarvitse ostaa kallista grilliruokaa kun lapset syö miten sattuu. Menimme aluksi rikkinäiselle grillille ja meinasi epätoivo iskeä. Onneksi siellä oli toinen toimiva grilli, jonne henkilökunta opasti meidät. Tähän oli fiksusti sijoitettu pomppulinna viereen, joten lapsille oli tekemistä makkaroiden paistuessa. Myöhemmin kahvilassa oli maito loppunut ja kahvit piti juoda mustana. Nämä ovat varmasti pieniä alkukesän kankeuksia ja henkilökunta lähti tilannetta samalta seisomalta korjaamaan. Pienellä fiksaamisella tästä huvipuistosta saisi paljon mukavamman kokemuksen aikuisillekin. Käymme kyllä uudestaan jos satumme siellä päin taas olemaan. Kahvilassa oli tupakka paikka vieressä ja tuuli sattui puhaltamaan juuri meille hajut sinne, josta en itse olisi kauheasti välittänyt. Parempia polkutraktoreita toivoisin kyllä lapsille, ne on juuri näitä polkuvehkeitä joita tarvitaan aikuinen polkemaan tai työntämään, eikä meidän 6v:kään päässyt sillä eteenpäin kovin helposti. Tämä polkutraktorirata oli aivan täys kymppi meidän 2v pärinäpojalle, jos olisi vähän sopivampia nämä traktorit lapsille. Sopivamman rattaat sinne sisälle tai ehkä...

We had SO much fun at this park! We were staying in cottages next door, so our family (children 14,18) came when it opened, and stayed until it closed.
