Domaine Pey Blanc — Attraction in Aix-en-Provence

We called ahead to make sure it was ok to visit on a Friday afternoon and for a tasting, and we were told that was ok.

We arrived and were met with a very rude, unwelcoming woman. She acted like we were a problem and told us tastings really should be booked in advance despite what we had told on the phone.

We stood awkwardly before she gave us a ‘tasting’ with very little knowledge of wine other than saying which one was cheap and which one was expensive.

Wine was wonderful, as was the setting/view. Just a shame they have someone working for them that clearly doesn’t...

My husband & I had the best time here! Their No. 1 wine is amazing, but what really stood out was how kind and helpful Nicolas was. He helped us get a tasting set up prior to our visit to Aix-en-provence and we happened to be visiting for our first wedding anniversary. At the end of the tasting, he threw in a complimentary bottle of their sparkling wine for us! It was truly an amazing experience and their rosé is spectacular....
