. . #chapelle #sacre #patrimoine #eglise #notredame #viergemarie #beauregard #christ #lieussaint #culture #dieu...

Église Notre-Dame-de-Beauregard, a Catholic Churchis a hidden gem nestled high in the hills, offering a serene escape from the bustle of daily life. The church itself exudes a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for quiet reflection. However, what truly sets this place apart is the breathtaking view of the valley below. The panorama is simply spectacular and worth the visit alone.

Be mindful, though—the road leading up to the church is quite narrow, so it's essential to drive carefully. Once you reach the top, you'll find that it's an ideal spot for a picnic, painting, or simply gathering your thoughts in the tranquil surroundings. Whether you're seeking inspiration or just a peaceful retreat, this lovely place has a unique charm that will...

Have been seeing this from the autoroute for 30 years travelling south/north. So took a trip up there, the actual interior of the church is quite small and plain but worth a visit if in the area. A 300mtr narrow road leads to the parking area with a few passing places however, there is parking before committing to this stretch of road and you can walk the rest of the way. One thing definitely to see is the view at the highest point, take the path to the left of the church. Also a fabulous pottery on sight with some lovely pieces to buy, the lady working there was very helpful when we chose the piece we wanted, prices very reasonable. PS: there was no snack or refreshments on site and toilets...

Interesting church with beautiful ironwork chandeliers. Quite plain stonework inside, but all the more beautiful for that. Spectacular views across the Durance to the Luberon mountains from the parking area .
