Well, it's expensive, very. And I'm only speaking about the day visit. Yet, don't hesitate, it's a bit of a unique thing to do. The views from the terrace are amazing; even if there's no snow on the mountain tops. The exhibit is ok. The planetarium is very much like every other planetarium. The person that led our session tried to make it both interesting and entertaining, giving out prices for answers to his questions. Two things are a pity: everything was in French, without any options for other languages (I understood, yet the rest of my party only had basic knowledge of French) and any answer given in another language than French wasn't accepted. Even in latin. (I mean, Andromeda and Andromede, aren't that far apart...) The bistro was quite expensive, had a quiche meal offer, but didn't have any quiche. For the same meal but with a croque they charged us full price for every single item. (could have given us the offer price at least...) So in short: it's expensive, they are after your money for sure, but it's worth to spend one (half) day up in the clouds, with the birds. Oh, and the girl in the gift shop was super kind and friendly. Such a difference from other staff! Also the one at the billetterie was very nice. Seems the higher up, the...
Read moreA lot of money to get at a high place. The trip up is really nice and beautiful, we saw some vultures from close by. The trip is divided in two rides. The carts up and down are really fulled up to the max, so if you would like to see something on the way up, you must stay at a side of the cart.
Then, when you do get up there, the view is really beautiful. But only with nice weather, if it's cloudy, there is a good chance you don't see anything. The museum etc are only in French, English is under construction for some parts.
Down side is during day you can't watch through any telescoop, so not much to do really then the view.
Take the times in mind, because in the afternoon they have no carts going up and down...
Read moreAbsolutely an amazing experience. Although the price for the telepherique was really expensive, the experience was so spectacular that it worths the price. Once you get there, there is no time limit, you can spend as much as time until the last telepherique. We were recommended to go there before 12.30 apparently best views are in the mornings. There is also a lunch break between 12.30 and 14.00 if you miss the morning slots. On their website there is a webcam so you can check how clear the weather is to make sure that you are able to catch...
