URÊKA, le musée interactif de la mine — Attraction in Bellac

Visiting hours aren't clear and limited for individuals. At the location it states at the entrance that they are open every day from 10.30h to 18.00h. Also on google the account shows the same opening hours. However, for regular/individual visitors, they are only open 3 days a week in the afternoon from 1400h-1730h and only during july/august.

While en route we passed the museum and went to the entrance to get the visiting hours in order to come back in the weekend. We came on Saturday only to be told they weren't open for the general public. Stating that it is a privatized museum which can be leased for group activities.

Une très belle visite, ludique, educative, interactive. Un film en 3D sur l'histoire de l'uranium d'une grande qualité. Une partie en immersion qui nous projette au cœur de la mine. Et de nombreuses explications sur les différents métiers, la chaîne de transformation de l'uranium, les atomes, le quotidien des mineurs, l'histoire de l'exploitation de Bessines. Tout y était... dans une ambiance agréable. Nous avons eu en plus la chance de bénéficier dans le cadre des journée du patrimoine d'un joli conte sur la rencontre de boudefeu et du vent parfaitement conté par une talentueuse bénévole. Et une animation sur les minéraux de notre quotidien... par un sympathique passionné. On recommande +++ avec une mention pour la boutique qui propose de jolis articles à des prix très raisonnable. Seule petite amélioration qui pourrait être apportée, sauf erreur de ma part, il n'y a pas de table à langer à disposition des familles avec...
