There's nowhere quite like Chateau Bridoire. We've been visiting this part of France for years but only made the time to explore the Chateau this year. Safe to say we'll be going there again next year. Ample parking very close to the entrance, reasonable prices, especially when you can easily spend most of the day there. I love that it's very much a community project and that the family who own it continue to renovate and open up more parts of the Chateau's interior, which is already refreshingly interactive and packed with games. Meanwhile, outside in the grounds you can while away hours playing the numerous inventive games that sprawl over the lawns. It'll almost certainly be hot and sunny but there's stacks of shade under the trees and a covered eating area. The foods really good too. Read moreWe had a wonderful day here with our 6 year old. We arrived at opening ,free parking, no queues and a delight as soon as we entered!
Toilets are located at the check in desk which is fab if you've travelled
Helpful staff to translate with tickets sales etc
The gardens are beautiful with animals and at least 25 games of all sorts to get children's and adults minds thinking
Some classics and some harder ones!
The cafe and picnic area is top notch with local wine to taste
The Chateau provided a welcome relief from the heat with engaging activities for children to try including quill writing
The stables are small but lovely to visit with the ponies coming out for visits at times advertised when you arrive.
There's also sword school for children to take park in
All in all a wonderful place to visit with children

We started at around 7:30 pm, we played at the nice wooden games outside and by 8 pm we took some apéro, cold cuts and cheese which the baked Camembert was super good by the way. We were entertained by the local dance and music, very original! Then at around 9 pm we visited the castle in candlelight which was a very unique experience for us! It gives a different angle from the usual castle visits which is ordinary. We love the effort and passion they put in this place, you can feel it from the wooden toys and the decorations around. There was a horse show as well, the horses were beautiful and made us appreciate how wonderful these creatures are! We highly recommend...
