DOMAINE DU CROC DU MERLE — Attraction in Blois

Nice stop on the way to Chateau de Champbord. Everything is local. The wine maker is pretty much a one man show. Very interesting wine tasting, products from the farm. We bought the 2023 Gamay/Pinot Noir that went perfectly with the rillettes de boeuf-- the letter tasted like a delicious pot au feu. Wow. Such a fun place, and not just for the wine. This is a massive dairy farm which produces cheese, yogurt, butter and more! You can freely roam about to check out all the cows and even the nursery with cute baby cows!
