I share the sentiment and faith that built this statue, but IMO it's not wortg wasting 1.5 hours round-trip climb there because #1. The statue os only visible from far, from the road taken by cars. There is no way to take a photo of the statue (front) while close to it. Only of its back. #2. Artistically, the style reminds me of Soviet art: blocky, devoid of skill or beauty. See attached photos. The views of Mont Blanc are nice, but you get the same views without having to climb to the statue. There are several paths from Les Houches train station to the "Statue de Christ Roi", and the difference is not clear. There are no signs from the train station; you encounter them only after you climbed a little.
