The overall stay was good, we did have problems with overflowing/blocked drains in some of the downstairs bathrooms. We also had sinks on he second floor which had coloured water coming out them, both of these issues we think were due to the chalet not being used for a period of time. The chalet is really big and accommodates 14 people well because of its size. Someone had put a lot of effort in to designing and interior fitting this property. The bedrooms are all similar sized on the ground floor with all ensuite bathrooms, and a theme to match the room as well. Our bedroom was called Oceania, and each room has its own name which was unique, it was based on continents of the world. Some bedrooms will have a bathtub shower or even a walk in shower with a very large head! It was very nice! The Beds were also very comfy. We didn't use all of the chalet however because we were skiing most of the day then out in the evening but the cinema/kids room looked really awesome with games consoles and also a dvd player. The games room was really cool but some of the machines did not work when we plugged them in and turned them on. We found that there were a couple of niggles, with regards to the the the ski room which was in a 'garage' which was not connected to the house which made you put shoes on every time you wanted to go in there rather than it being in the basement of the house. The kitchen was very nice and professional, a little on the small side considering the size of the living/dining area. Also it is not very social because the kitchen only has views of the driveway to the front door of the house and there is a window at the end of the kitchen but you have to be at hand height to look through it. We also found hat the lighting from the lights could of been better in the living and dining areas especially in the evening where its dark. However the natural light in the day is still very good and the views and next level! The hotubs, sauna, steam room and massages were really nice (massages are extra or different package). They really help with recovery and relaxation I have to admit. I havent said yet but everyone who helped use with the problems for the chalet were english and the entire area have a lot of british people in. Overall it was a great stay, I would recommend to large groups as the cost will be lower and the...
Read moreI regret to have to post such a review about my experience in a chalet that had the previlege of the wonderful view of Mont Blanc. Dont let pictures of, nature a wonderful view fool you!!
Given the location you wouldnt expect but high end service and luxury. As soon as you step into the chalet you know youve been robbed.
Over and above that: I forgot a brand new Gucci handbag in the chalet as we ran out in a hurry when a snake sneaked into our room at night time. I contact the manager a few days later when i realise my handbag was missing. He never called to inform me that i left some of my belongings in the chalet nor he replied to my massages asking about my missing bag
You sign the contract that they will not pay you back your money unless you cancel 10 weeks before arrival!! Well the contract doesnt say that 2 snakes will sneak into your room in one day!
Please dont get fooled and robbed...
Read moreWe are regular visitors to Chalet Serena and every time we walk through those doors, we are blown away by sheer splendour of the Mont Blanc Mountain range that greets you, through the glazing on the opposite side of Chamonix valley.
The chalet works so well for us as a family of such diverse wants and needs, luxurious areas to relax and dine, the spa, hot tub, the cinema and games rooms and the all-important slide for the children (and adults!) to amuse themselves in the evening. All this, not to mention access to some of the best skiing in the alps!
To top it all, the Chalet Serena service was pitched perfectly to meet our every need, whether it was privacy, a chef, treatments, ski guides, the team had it covered.
I can’t...
