Beautiful mountains. A whole range of well signposted paths through stunning scenery. Crystal clear streams and blue skies. The GR58 (plus its variants) is a great walk with many excellent refuges on the way. The towns, Abriès, Aiguilles, St Véran and Ceillac were all lovely with excellent local produce. What a fantastic region!

Very nice 3 days hike. Good bivak places. Drinkable water. Flowers like Edelweiss. Path signs are clear and good to follow, but I always use gps with an app. Love the Ecrins

Wonderful sights. The paths are well marked and are suitable for a multi days mtb tours, if you are willing to push your bike up the steeper parts.

A 6-day hike around the Queyras is just awe-inspiring as physically demanding. You have to earn the beautiful sitez, but they are worth it. The landscape changes often and will continuously leave you wanting to discover more. The paths are well labeled and the places to sleep for the night (in tent or not if necessary) are quite frequent.

You aren't allowed to camp within 1-hour walk of towns, villages etc. and I recommend bringing along water filters.

Moderately crowded makes for a great escape in the wild...

Everything you'd want and expect in the French Alps. Beautiful scenery, villages, walks, climbing, rides, glaciers. Top visits were the marmot area next to Guillestre, glacier blanc, the fortress above Guillestre and the short beautiful Via Ferrata in the gorge next to...
