Domaine de Brau — Attraction in Carcassonne

Discovered Brau Wines whilst attending a street fayre in Carcassonne and asked Fabien if we could visit. We had a wonderful and really informative tour of the facilities, followed by a tasting of some of the wines, which we were asked to select. Needless to say we all bought wine to take away, although there were no hard selling tactics at all. Brau wines is not too far from our house, and we will definitely pop in to buy wine there again. We all learned a lot and had interesting exchanges about attitudes towards wine in various countries.Fabien is one of a new breed of winemakers, respecting traditional values, but with a modern twist. Incredible experience visiting the Domaine de Brau, we were lucky enough to get taken around the vineyard by the owner and learned all about the history of the land and the main differences between an organic and conventional winery.

Their wines are also delicious! I love that they are low intervention and have very little sulfites. After buying many bottles we enjoyed a complimentary glass on their terrace and hung out with their very friendly dog. Would highly recommend visiting and picking up a few bottles if you are...

We had a wonderful time at Brau. It started with a small tour through the vineyard where he explained their philosophy and techniques.
