Former residence of the Marquis de Foudras, the famous author of hunting novels, and later property of Emile Guimet, the famous orientalist. Located 10km (just over 6 miles) from Beaune, the present castle dates from the Directory period, having been rebuilt after the French Revolution on the site of an ancient fortress. Unfortunately the Castle is closed and I have not been able to visit it but only admire it...
