This place is a must site to see, built in the 12th century. The castle and grounds has been owned by the same family the entire time. The current estate owner Count Raoul de Ternary and his wife are both very nice. He answered and explained lots of questions regarding the hounds during our day on the estate. We had small intimate lunch of Boeuf Bourguignon, in the old stables and carriage house. Our lunch was served by the Count and Countess which made the day even more special. The stables are located just inside the outer wall, off to the right as you walk in the main entrance from the parking area. We also took a tour of the lower level of the castle, since Count Raoul and his family live there full-time this area was the only area we got to explore. I have no complaints and was thankful for even being welcomed into their home. The grounds are beautiful and I love everything about our day. We enjoyed wine that was produced from the grapes grown on the property's vineyards with our afternoon lunch. It was a real treat for us both, and pure joy to bring several bottles home to the states. Burgundy produces some of the greatest white wines in the golden triangle regions of France. The Rully vineyards are just outside this area but still shares the same soil and weather. Our plan was to buy wine in town, however when we were told about the castle lunch tour we jumped at the chance to go and bring home more wonderful memories with our pictures and their...

We are very disappointed to make this review and the owner of the castle should be aware of the way how his employees work.
We came to the castle for the first time on the 8th August at 17.40 and they said "we are closed", I asked the girl at reception for the next visit, if they close during the day to organise better and she told me, we close at 13 for lunch. Info on their website that we found are that visits are every hour and also at 12 and 18. Anyway, we wanted to give it a second chance so we came to the castle again (14th Agust) We came to the castle at 11.40 in the morning and we found the castle closed for lunch even if it is written they are open all day.
They didn't let us visit in any of two days.
Opening hours should be clear... and the fact that you don't accept the credit card is a bit weird nowdays... The worst experience in France we...
