Beautiful Chateau set close to the town centre, magnificent architectural buildings and all extremely well maintained, it was closed the day I arrived so could only walk around the perimeter. The grounds around are superb , there is a free car park and plenty of on street parking close by. Just to see the buildings is well worth a visit . I highly recommend it to everyone.

The area around the castle looked like an archaeological excavation. There was no one around who could explain it to me which was a pity.

C'est un joli petit village avec un château auquel est attaché un théâtre. Il y a de belles vues depuis les murs du château et un nombre raisonnable de boutiques dans les vieilles rues étroites. Il y a également 2 bornes de recharge EV juste en dessous du Château. À la périphérie du village se trouvent de nombreux magasins plus grands

Place joliement éclairée la nuit des bancs en pierre permettent de profiter des jeux de lumière. Le château et la salle de spectacle sont magnifiques de nuit. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de visite de l'ensemble du bâtiment.

Description
The Château de Barbezieux is a castle situated in the commune of Barbezieux-Saint-Hilaire, in the Charente département of France. It dates from 1453, though an earlier castle, of which no trace remains, stood on the site from the early 11th century.
