Really looking forward to this museum, but not as expected. In fairness, I speak little French, un tres petite peur!!! Started the event with a lovely film, depicting a year in the life of 'cow' farm work, seasonal happenings,(no words), I really enjoyed this and looked forward to what was coming next. Onwards, LOTS of info boards (thoughtfully in english, so no problem understanding), photos, relevant objects, tools, details etc etc. A LOT to read. View points of manufacture....not in use, disappointed. There was then a 'talk' with the necessary equipment, explaining the process. I'm sure it was good??? Lastly, we were given a small sample of the curd/whey, cheese and wine, which was lovely, the demonstrator was also very good. All in all, I'm glad we did it...my disappointed probably personal, I wanted to see the cheese being made, secondly, see the actual 🐄 🐮, there were non to be seen anywhere. I got the impression the cheese was brought in for sale? We absolutely loved the Munster cheese.....but we actually bought it from a little creamery/farm a few klms away, at a fraction of the cost, can't remember the name, village began with 'S'.......that really is worth...
Read moreDefinitely interesting and informative museum, but it lacks the interactive part. The "demonstration" is not suitable for English-speaking tourists, as it is led in French and German only; additionally, it generally repeats what a visitor has already seen on the film, that is shown simultaneously on the screens. I expected a real demonstration or at least working machines, showing lively the process of cheese production before and nowadays. A positive side is that the short films are translated into three languages – French, German and English. The information on the exhibition panels and photographs is displayed also in three languages. The exhibition in the right side of the building, related to cheese and forests (on the second floor), is very comprehensive and rich in interesting facts and knowledge. The cheese testing is ok, the wine though is of very...

The Bad: The location is very remote and frankly not worth the drive. The experience begins with a 20-minute video that is more about mood-setting than offering any real insight into cheese-making. After that, there’s no guided tour—just a self-led walk through the museum. The “demonstration” is a disappointment; it’s more about showing the tools than actually illustrating the cheese-making process. The tasting session is underwhelming, with just two small slices of cheese and a tiny sip of white wine—no refills or additional samples offered.
The Good: At €8.50, the ticket price isn’t too steep. The on-site restaurant offers reasonably enjoyable small plates, which could be a consolation after the lackluster tour.
Overall, unless you’re already nearby or have a specific interest, it’s not worth the...
