I was a very disappointed with this after seeing such a beautiful building from the outside i paid hoping to see its stunning architecture continued on the inside ..... not the case the place had been modernised and cladded up and turned into an entertainment venue so it lost so much of its self :( In my opinion stay outside take your pictures there as I dont feel it warrants paying to go in :( the outside is as magnificent as it gets and its pretty...

A lot of the amphitheatre has been repurposed for modern use, but it's still enjoyable to explore. Minimal entry fee, and helpful staff. There is some good information inside about its history and archaeology, both in French and English, and it is impressive just to be in a place with so much history. My kids thoroughly enjoyed being able to walk out into the middle and visualise something of their Roman...

I found it a very professional initiative which turned a historic site into a live museum this way making it present in today's people life! £3 for entry was cheap, toilets on site and although it's been modified so it can be used, there's enough of the original building intact! Personally I preferred the amphitheatre at Pula in Croatia or even the Coliseum in Rome but they're more expensive but worth the entry! Sorry if photos are repeated, enjoying French wine while posting! 🤣👍

With Tickets, A walking and informative tour ( by yourself ) take you from historical Roman remain of arena to Morden under construction arena ( work stopped ). Only 5 minutes from old town of Fréjus by feet. You will find a toilet ( outside of arena) park with parking space as well and a restaurant outside.

Nice to see, but be warned - although advertised and signposted as a free location, we had to buy tickets to enter at the door. There was very little to see and were a little disappointed at the lack of history beyond 4-5 plaques that you had to wander and funds yourself. Wouldn't be coming back to it again.
