We are part way through our holiday on Les Tournels (will do a full review of the campsite/overall holiday at the end of our stay). But we wanted to review the amazing 3hr Wine Harvest/Tasting Tour we did a couple of days ago. We booked it at the little booking kiosk near reception. We spent 3 hrs from 8-11am experiencing the journey of the grape from the vine to tasting the end product! So interesting. The tour is literally a walk from the campsite where Juliette our guide met us and remained with us throughout the tour. She was so engaging and helpful converting French to English to ensure we understood. We were greeted at the vineyard processing area by Oliviar who was so knowledgeable and explained in great detail the process of wine making. We got to taste the juice that hadn't yet femented to wine which was delicious, then at the end of the tour, Vanessa provided us with a range of wines to taste. She explained how to taste, what to eat certain wines with and she provided us with some lovely nibbbles of bread cheeses and figs. The tour was brilliantly managed, very interesting and we had so much fun as they all had a great sense of humour. My husband, myself and our 8year old boy did the tour and at 25euro each, it was worth every penny! If you want to experience a tradition of the region, it's a must! We will have very fond and great memories of this tour and how much we learned. We will never look at wine in the same way ever again knowing how much work and effort goes in to making each and every bottle. Do the tour, you...
