The site is functional and we enjoyed having a base to head into Paris at low cost and do some local cycling.
I do want to point out a couple of things that impacted us. One was noise and this isn’t in control of the site, so just for awareness. On arrival on a Saturday evening we enjoyed the music from the nearby pub up to 11pm but then a party kicked in at the adjacent venue and music and DJ chat was VERY loud to 2am and then people milled around until 3am. I expect we were just unlucky and this is very rare. A summer kids club runs out of the same location so we awoke daily to kids playing basketball and music games from 8.45am each day - not a problem but after so little sleep that first night it wasn’t great.
The other thing to note is that there are always people loitering outside of the toilet area. They are not threatening at all but it made my teenage daughters reluctant to go to the bathroom on their own late in the evening as there were constantly various people there - probably linked to the running of the site but it felt a little odd to the kids as we’ve not encountered this anywhere else. Perhaps could be good to have a setup so that people hanging out there aren’t a couple of feet away from people entering the toilet block as you definitely...
Read moreDecent camp site in a great location with some strange oversights that prevent it from being 5/5 in my eyes.
The sanitary buildings are in dire need of modernisation (e.g. there is one timed light switch for the bright lights of the entire room out of reach from where you'd want to turn on the lights, like the stalls with sinks) but despite only being cleaned once a day were mostly in acceptable condition. Not providing toilet paper is inexcusable however, which is what brings it down to a 3/5 instead of a 4/5 for me; it just seems lazy as the cost per person per day would be slim and could easily be added onto the camping fees instead of inconveniencing guests. There's not even a warning about this oddity on the website.
Overall, with some minor improvements, this has potential to be a fantastic camp site but it's still decent as it is and I'd definitely...
Read moreWe had a pleasant stay on this camping. It’s located at a lovely spot on the banks of the Seine. And has a cute, simple dinner/drinks spot next to it (La Buvette Samoreau). The sanitary facility is simple and a bit dated, but kept very clean by the kind Mr. Roussel. Who was very helpful and accommodating during our stay. We recommend going to the local bakery for great croissants and pastries.
Only point of feedback I have is for the municipality: to invest in a renovation of the sanitary facility. And important to note is that the campsite can be a bit more noisy on the weekend because of live music at La Buvette. And because it’s more crowded on...
