2nd visit last time the roses were in bloom, magnificent. This time the camellias were in bloom. Superb, never seen them as a hedge before let alone as a maze. Less than 10 people in park, so nice and quiet, can appreciate the bird song. Bamboo forest and Japanese gardens around the lake were really good. The various types of magnolia were also in full bloom and has not been impacted by the frost. Tea, coffee and cake available from the chateau, very classy and reasonably priced. The shop and plants for sale are very good. Remember there are rules about taking plants back to UK so check before buying anything. Main tip, check the Parc's website to see what is in flower when you are in the area. This is one of the attractions that is a bit of a secret and is not...

Absolutely unmissable, a favourite with our family for years and years. No visit to Brittany is complete without it. Gorgeous, gorgeous themed gardens that offer different delights in different months of spring and summer . The blue hydrangeas in late June/July are simply staggering. We love the little tearoom in the château which serves a selection of wonderful teas and cakes, also beers and ciders and of course coffee. The gardens always feel so tranquil and never seem busy. There are benches everywhere for you to sit and enjoy the beauty and peace. There's an excellent souvenir shop which also sells plants and from which I have bought quite a few plants to take home with me over the years which are thriving...

Le Parc Botanique de Haute Bretagne is one of the nicest gardens I have been to. It intrigues the visitor with the incredible number of different garden types. These are not immediately apparent but revealed gradually during the course of the visit. Formal gardens give way to a bamboo forest leading to more formal gardens, topiary, ponds, lakes, woodland walks, a Japanese garden and more besides, There are a good number of seats where it is possible to take in the atmosphere of the garden. My favourite is by a pond that has views of the chateau.

There is a very good restaurant near the ticket office. It is excellent. I had a nice table in the garden under a sunshade. It is well...

This park is a hidden gem. I have to say I've been to many botanical gardens and this one is the most breathtaking. You seem to be driving to the middle of nowhere, then you get to the entrance, and enter the first garden and you will be like wow, this is beautiful. Then you go to the next garden and it almost brought tears to my eyes it is so beautiful. But then it just keeps going on and on. Versailles gardens is nothing compared to this place. If you like flowers and nature and peace and tranquility this garden needs to be on your bucket list. The colors and textures when we visited at the end of July were mind blowing.
