This is a stunning little island. Yes, it can get crowded, but still well worth the visit especially if you come in the morning and find a place on the west side of it. To get here, you take a boat from the peer next to Datcha. It costs 6E/per person and takes 5 minutes. It runs between 9AM and 5PM. On the beach there's a restaurant which serves great food. Its only drawback is the long service time. You queue up at 11:15 to select the food you'd like and make a reservation for later on. I recommend this as the amount is limited so you might not get what you want. So is the menu. The whole food is brought up by boat at 10AM. The north side where there's a larger stretch of sand is windy, the west is hidden between trees and it's perfect for pictures. The water is shallow and full of coral, so you might want to bring shoes if...

The restaurant is serving everything in plastic - cups, plates, cutlery! That is very sad, but I see it a lot of that practice across the island. Something should really be done - either on the city level, but also by the owners themselves - especially given that the restaurant is a rip off - the grilled fish which is everywhere 15-20EUR, is here 30EUR. I hope the place will be taken over by someone who cares for the nature, because the island...

Great island vibe. We are a family of 5 with 3 kids ages 11,9 and 5. We used Kaya kool and kayaked over ourselves. It took about 15-20 mins to get there and about 10-12 on the way back. The restaurant is delicious they were able to accommodate us without a reservation but I think it’s highly Recommended to make one. We got there around 1 pm and stayed until 3:45. Not too crowded. Easy walk to the lighthouse for a nice view and...

Nice plage, great views. Huge plus is the proximity of all the little restaurants and cafes of Le Gosier. The only minus is there's some seaweed floating in the water (that we have not encountered on any of the beaches on the western shores of Basse-Terre) and the bottom is partially rocky.
