Amazing beach close to the city center. Parking is allowed on the side of the road (as long as it does not create an obstacle for other cars), and if no places are available, 3 parking fields can be found on the way from the main street, for 3€. Toilet available at Hotel Le Rotabas for 2€/person. Some food and drinks available from foodtrucks and other vendors on the beach, 1 local beer 33cl -4 €. Alot of them take card payments, in case you have no cash. Sunbeds available on the private side of the beach, not sure if they are for hotel residents only(?). Also, the private side of the beach has rocks in the sand, so have swimming shoes with you- if you are sensitive. Iguanas can be seen everyday if you look for them (usually in a tree above your head), and most of the palm trees have the coconuts cut off, so no risk of injury from falling coconuts. Fresh coconuts (with a show) available for 5€, plus another 3€ if you want to film the 'show' by local Jack Sparrow. There is also shelter under the trees in case of heavy rain, as some turists do not like to get wet.. no pun intended. The amount of people on the beach vary from day to day, time, and weather, but there is always place for everybody, again, if you are not too picky. All in all, whatever stress you might experience on your way to this beach, I promise it will be cured once you arrive! It is worth it! Ps: there might be more options in form of food & toilets than what I wrote, but it was based on what I experienced so far. Hope this helps!

This is probably the best beach on the south side of Grand Terre. It has something to offer for everyone. Plenty of shade and shallow water for kids and old people. Clean and deeper water to swim for adults. You just need to know where to go. First of all, do not enter the Club Med parking lot, drive 100m further if you're coming from Gosier and follow the signs.Drive down the narrow street and park anywhere you find a place. If nothing is available, closer to the beach you pay 3E per day. Then start walking until you reach the sea and turn right and keep walking past the Fun Kite Academy. The beach is split in 2. The first part has shallow water, small places to eat. If you have kids, stop here. If you don't, keep walking until you enter the Club Med area. The first place with the sun loungers is free to put your towels on the sand. Nobody will tell you anything. The sunbeds cost 28E and there's no point in paying for it. Once you settle, just walk towards the bar on the beach and enter the water after that. It is clean and deep enough to swim. You can also walk on the beach, again, the bodyguards will not interact with you as long as you don't bother hotel guests and you keep to the shoreline.

As others have said, the walk to the beach is nauseating- I think it's the worst smell I've ever experienced! I didn't find the beach as nice as I was expecting. We inquired about renting the chairs for the day from the blue container coffee shop on the beach. It is 25 euro per person or 15 euro after 2pm. This did not include food or drink. Only access to showers and washrooms. This was way too expensive in my opinion. Luckily there are a lot of palm trees providing shade, so we just sat on our towels. We wadded in the water which had a lot of sea grass floating and the bottom was quite rough with lots of pieces of dead coral you step on. I believe there are nicer beaches in Guadeloupe. The coco ice cream from one of the vendors was good! (3 euro).
