What a lovely vineyard! Ms. Pia greeted us when we arrived and was very kind. Unfortunately I do not understand French, so the tour was a bit tough to understand, but that was as expected. I believe they also do run English tours. However the Château and vineyard were beautiful. One of the best parts was meeting the owners (Xavier and Caroline) who were extremely humble and welcoming (they do speak English). They took the time to meet us personally and speak to us about the wine and their life. They also have two dogs on the property that are great at entertaining young children! The wine was fantastic and it's nice that they offer a white wine in addition to the red. Bordeaux is known for the red wine, so it was pleasant to be able to mix it up as it can become overwhelming otherwise. If there was only one Chateau that I could see again in this region, it would be...

Incredible experience during my time in France! I booked a wine tasting with a picnic in the garden, and everything was marvelous. Lea was our guide through the Chateau and explained us everything there is to know about this gorgeous and ancient place. She gave us 4 wines to taste and you can tell she is passionate about wine and food pairing. The picnic in the shade during a hot summer day was definitely the highlight of the visit. We sat at a table, under a huge tree, and the picnic was really a feast. So much food, so much freshness, and attention to detail. Plus: it was my birthday and there was a “birthday cake”. Me and my friends LOVED everything and will return with our families...

Despite our last-minute reservation, we had an amazing tour and wine tasting lead by Lucinda. We absolutely loved the new tasting-while-touring style that she tested on our group! At the end of the session in the shop, Lucinda continued to provide such great hospitality while we took our time to pick out the delicious wines to take home. While the Chatéau de Cérons has its unique charms due to its small size and great history, we can say with confidence that our enthusiastic guide is what truly made the visit special. Thank you Lucinda for your hospitality, we hope to visit back in a few years, maybe in the fall or winter to see the chatéau painted pink with the sunset :)

A very informative tour with the history of the C17 chateau well described by our hostess Marie, who was also very knowledgable about the wines, the grapes and the processes of production. The vineyard has only limited production which means few choices in tasting, but the three varieties of current releases we tried were very impressive. Older vintages are also available. The sweet wine is remarkably fresh and fruity, quite different from those of Barsac and Sauternes because of a much lower sugar content. Still sweet but not cloying. Overall, well worth stopping to visit. No appointment is required.
