Navacelles, The Viewpoints of Blandas — Attraction in Le Vigan

Amazing panorama located north of the Cirque of Navacelles, in the Gard department, the three Blandas lookouts are about 300 meters from the cliffs. The Belvédère des Chênes, overlooking the cliff, presents the cirque with a view of the Larzac plateau. The Belvédère de la Doline, set back, 3 meters wide and about ten meters long, offers a view of the entire Vis Gorges. Great viewpoint into the deep gorge created by the River Vis. From the Belvedere, you can follow (by car but walking is an option if you don't mindwalking for a couple of hours) a straightforward but quite long path down into the valley. Halfway, you'll encounter a hairpin where the path starts of 1.1km to the Moulin de Foux. Not to be missed, this place is where the river re-appears after disappearing at Vissec a couple of miles upstream. Beautiful waterfalls. The cirque is located in the middle of what appears to be an old volcano. Descending to the village by car is already a great experience, but as soon as you exit your vehicle down below and go into the small pool there will be a much greater experience in the form of a series of waterfalls and pools which can be descended by what appears to be naturally formed stairs.
